LRT Phase 1 Taipa Section – Mechanical Work, Running Surface Work and Emergency Walkway & Handrail Works

Installation of running surface, guide rails, power rails, emergency sidewalks, platform screen doors of the Macau LRT Taipa Section totally 9.3km long together with the installation of special equipment in the maintenance depot.

Most of the works carried out on the viaduct are overhead works above roads with congested traffic. Therefore, various complicate environmental factors need to be considered during the construction phase, such as work at height safety, horizontal transportation, road closure and diversion, and difficulties in lifting, etc. In addition, due to the high precision requirements of the light rail system, the rail installation tolerance must within a few millimeters or even zero tolarance.
