The Macao Incineration Center and the Special and Hazardous Waste Treatment Stations produce an average of about 1,700 tons of solidified flying ash per month. Flying ash is highly toxic and needs to be treated and landfilled with the highest environmental protection requirements. Firstly, after the flying ash had been collected, it will be packaged and sealed in a space bag, and then sent to the flying field for landfill. At present, 10 temporary storage areas for flying ash have been built in the construction waste landfill, but the storage area still needs to be further expanded. This project includes the expansion of the original flying ash field and the operation of the entire flying ash field. More importantly, advanced equipment is used for monitoring to ensure that the flying ash will not pollute the surrounding soil and water, so as to protect the health of Macao residents.
