Top Builders Group was recently awarded the contract for Site Formation of Depot Area for Macau LRT Phase 1 by Gabinete Para As Infra-estruturas de Transportes (GIT). The contract sum is MOP 18.2 million. This is the first major contract awarded for the Macau Light Rail Transportation System. The scope of the work includes site formation for the Light Rail Depot and relocation of the Firemen Training Centre in the vicinity of Macau International Airport.

The opening ceremony for the project was held on 8 September 2009 at the new Depot site. A number of project Stakeholders and industry associations attended the opening ceremony including GIT, Gabinete para o Desenvolvimento de Infra-estruturas (GDI), Direccção dos Serviços para osAssuntos de Tráfego (DSAT), Macau Construction Association, Macau Construction Machinery Engineering Association and PAL Asiaconsult Ltd..
