Coloane Seac Pai Van Reservoir Expansion Project
We are honored to be awarded by the Public Works Bureau of the Macao SAR Government. The “Coloane Seac Pai Van Reservoir Expansion Project” is one of the key projects under the Macao Ten-Year Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Plan.
By constructing vertical retaining walls on the western and southern sides of the reservoir and carrying out dredging of the reservoir bed, the water storage capacity will be expanded. Upon completion, the total storage capacity will increase from 300,000 cubic meters to approximately 780,000 cubic meters. To enhance the reservoir’s seepage resistance, an impermeable barrier will be constructed within the reservoir. In addition, a pumping station will be built to convey the stored water to the Seac Pai Van Water Treatment Plant for processing.
The project will also include the development of recreational areas around the reservoir, featuring cycling paths, jogging tracks, and pedestrian walkways.
To promote the use of renewable energy, a solar photovoltaic power generation system will be installed on the reservoir surface. The electricity generated will be supplied to the Seac Pai Van Water Treatment Plant, achieving environmentally friendly and energy-saving benefits.
